Die These ist, dass die Antwort vier Aspekte aufweist: Im Kontext demokratischer Politik erfordern Gef\u00fchle eine angemessene Form von Pr\u00e4sentation, Moderation, Kompensation und Transformation. Die zus\u00e4tzliche These ist, dass sich diese vierfache Reaktion entweder mit Hilfe \u00e4sthetischer Erfahrungen oder sogar in ausgezeichneter Weise durch sie erreichen l\u00e4sst. Das Buch stellt diese Generalthese in drei Schritten vor. Ausgehend von den Protesten an der Universit\u00e4t Amsterdam 2015 erfolgt eine Analyse von Zorn, Scham und Unversch\u00e4mtheit als politischen Gef\u00fchlen. Der zweite Teil bietet einen \u00dcberblick zur philosophischen Diskussion \u00fcber Demokratie, Gef\u00fchle und \u00c4sthetik, indem er vier Denkmodelle vorstellt, repr\u00e4sentiert durch klassische und zeitgen\u00f6ssische Theoretiker und Theoretikerinnen wie Nussbaum, Hume &amp; A. Smith, Spinoza &amp; Deleuze und Hegel. Der letzte Teil bietet ein eigenes Modell an. Es basiert auf Kants und Deweys Konzept von \u00e4sthetischer Erfahrung und zielt auf die Idee einer erweiterten Rationalit\u00e4t, wie sie in der Kritischen Theorie vorgestellt worden ist.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The book tries to answer the timely question to what extent and in which sense emotions reasonably can play a central role within the democratic dispute. The thesis is that there are four crucial answers: In the context of democratic politics emotions require an adequate form of presentation, moderation, compensation and transformation. The additional thesis is that this fourfold reaction can be achieved either with the aid of aesthetic experiences, or even in a superior way by them. The book develops that general thesis in three parts. Based on the protests at the University of Amsterdam in 2015, it starts with an analysis of anger, shame and impertinence as political emotions. The second part offers an overview of the philosophical discussion on democracy, emotions and aesthetics, and points out four models represented by classical and contemporary theorists (Nussbaum, Hume &amp; A.Smith, Spinoza &amp; Deleuze, Hegel).
